Positive/negative experiences associated with patterns of physiological activity. They come and go as they are specific to the experience we"re having. Since we experience emotions, it seems self explanatory, but it is actually extremely difficult to explain to a robot what emotions are. Experience of the response/ what we"re actually doing. There are feelings in the body (gut feelings) that inform us to change our behavior and think about how we make decisions. A miscommunication within these two areas hinders the relationship between emotions and decision making. When we express emotions, how does it signal information to others. Tells others about relationships with other people. Guilt: personally responsible for someone else"s negative state (or not) Ability to recognize information in others and use it to help us in relationships with other.
