26 views4 pages

Document Summary

Marxism is not a governing policy, but a theory of history. Mercantilism is when we can look at the natural system and see smaller units engulfed by bigger system. Not state centric, not being opposed upon us, it"s just what"s out there. Not disconnected from society (which is problem with liberals) Marxists do not like mercantilists because mercantilist tells you the state is the most important thing that protects you from evil out there that wishes to engulf and consume. What you should do is not in interest of you or state. Liberals tell you market is perfect arbiter, every decision made by market is perfect decision. Marxists say ownership is determined by ability to make food/clothing/shelter. Marxists provide more historical and developmental way of understand all of this which makes it more powerful and more dangerous. Liberals have no history, it"s all about the market that determines, distributes, and adjudicates.
