Etiology - acute blood loss from trauma, surgery, postpartum, etc. ; s/s - changes in vs (high hr, low bp), orthostatic hypotension, increased reticulocyte count. Etiology - frequently gi bleeding (esophageal varices), menstrual bleeding.
