By selling land they allowed settlers to use the land not own it, they still had rights to it. Very hearty, but not immune or used to the disease brought by the european. Matriarchal, male and female are equal or female was higher than males. Didn"t ha(cid:448)e any intent to spread disease, no idea of how they worked. Pigs started to domesticate and take over lands they roamed. Took creatures with them the they didn"t (cid:449)ant to take, the rat! Three models of the european/native american relationships d. w meinig. Stratification: different levels of society, native americans were at the bottom, Articulation: colonies built for trade, trading goods with other people needs goods connections, product/service, trust and confidence. Expulsion: when one group of people push another group of people out of an area and build new communities or new settlements for future generations.
