To combat the ongoing and massive loss of biodiversity by using retroduction as a responsible too. A distinct subspecies of grey wolf that is supposed to be on the east coast. When europeans came over to the us, we went on a predator bounty campaign and shot down a red wolf and brought its ears to the government- they were paid. We removed their habitat, coyotes began making their way into their habitats- mating and creating hybrids. Biology of the species (life history etc. ) 14 (pure) red wolves held in captivity. 300+ animals were found to be hybrid coyote offspring, their parents were taken out of the breeding program. Coyote distribution in 1978 - still a pocket of north america without coyotes (southern eastern coast of us)
