Document Summary

Ex: sweden behave certain ways. both equally. Boys and girls aren"t born knowing there"s a difference between boys and girls. If we lessen this gap and teach kids at a young age how to be more gender inclusive at a young age, they"re more likely to keep this idea as they grow up. We can"t enforce binary ideas onto young kids, instead we should not expect them to. Ex: we can"t expect boys to be tough and girls to be docile, we should treat them. Girls" clothing is generally more restrictive than boys" clothing (smaller, mini, tight, etc) Even at 4 or 5 years old. Restricts girls from being more free and do big muscular movements -> forces them to fade into the background and sit still. 1998 amendment to sweden"s education act: all schools must work against gender stereotyping . The teachers were taught to avoid using gender specific pronouns and replace it with gender neutral pronouns in sweden.
