Reduction in glucose metabolism in the premotor cortex and the superior prefrontal cortex. Reduction of acc ( anterior singulate cortex), activation of frontontal-triatal-insular pathway. Lack of axon pruning during development ( use it or lose it doesn"t happen like it should with the adhd kids) maturation of the cortex is delayed by like 4 to 5 years.
