Document Summary

Social constructionist will give you a opposite perspective from evolution: believe- that we as a society has socially constructed these worlds. Evolution- change in the genetic composition of population over time. Individuals within a species are going to naturally vary from one another. Then if the trait is advantageous-> it will be selected for and become more pervasive over time: ex. But if you look at evolutionary cousins goats- cannot scale these mountains. Mountain goats- must have at some point had trouble with food- had to look elsewhere. Some were better climbers than others- and could eat more food- can get that food to the offspring- has a higher likelihood of being better climber and the others who are not die off. Evolution is really just sex: we sexually reproduce, other organisms asexually reproduce- offspring are 100% identical all the way around, with asexual reproduction- with one virus- then 2/3 would die.
