Aristotle: sex research has developed from converging strands, asexual- reproduction without the sharing of gametes (usually all single celled organism, sexual- need to swap gametes (need a second person) Renaissance era: thought mens bodies were perfect. They thought penises were fishing around our bodies- that didn"t drop. 15th century- he felt every single sexual thing was bad because we feel pleasure from it: someone else. Procreative sex is ok- but anything else is a sin- masturbation, oral sex, homosexuality: someone else. 18th century- morality is based on the greatest happiness to the greatest number- if it makes more people happy than unhappy it should be ok. Homosexuality- would be moral- because makes people happy: mary wollstonecraft. Woman deserve sexual beings as well feminism. Only condoms- no choice of whether they were gonna have a baby or not. Said not fair they should have a contraceptive. Socially constructed- everything but biologically- is different-
