Results: in the dangerous condition, participants showed decreased time to first fixation (ttf) and increased gaze duration (gd) Conclusion: dangerous stimuli attract visual attention. Task: name the ink color of the words. Dv: reaction time (rt) to name the color. Results: anxious subjects showed longer reaction times (rts) for threat- related words vs. neutral or happiness-related: control was all kind of the same across the way pretty much. Conclusion: anxious subjects may prioritize processing of threat-related information. Basically like they got distracted from those words, bc point is not the pay attention to the word. Experienced as especially vivid, detailed, long-lasting, accurate. Study: background: 97% of survey respondents reported that they knew the exact moment of september 11, 2001, series of 3 interviews: mundane events vs. flashbulb memories of attacks.
