Inappropriately seductive: rapidly shifting and shallow emotions, uses physical appearance to draw attention, speech is impressionistic and lacks detail. Narcissistic pd: egotistical and expectant of attention w/o own action, theatrical and dramatic expressions, highly suggestible (easily influenced) go along with others to be liked, thinks relationships are more intimate than they are. Cluster c: avoidant pd: opposite of narcissist, has strong fear of rejection and withdraws. Pd: fears rejection and clings, uncertainty and lack of self-confidence, treatment focuses on grandiosity, lack of empathy, unrealistic thinking, treatment may also address co-occurring depression, little evidence that treatment is effective. Indecisive without advice or reassurance: needs others to be responsible for decisions, won"t disagree due to fear of withdrawal of support or approval, difficulty initiating or doing things on own, excessive attempts at nurturance and support.
