The world we live in was unimaginable a hundred years ago. The british and french empires thought that their empires would last hundreds of year- it didn"t. We went from not flying at all to flying everywhere nowadays. Within one lifetime, we designed technology that can travel all over the world to going off the planet to the moon in half a century. At the turn of the century, the us was a minor player around the world. 50 years later, it is one of the only super powers in the world, in conflict. 1910- new zealand suffrage march for women with the soviet union. Only new zealand was the one who granted full voting rights to women. 1920 women would be granted these rights in the us, 1928 -uk. Before this, a vast majority of people around the world did not have full voting rights. Many countries were under colonial rule, did not have their sovereignties.
