Chimpanzees are the closest to our body. 99% dna overlap between chimpanzees and humans. We started deviating 4-7 million years ago from our primates. Being able to make a fist became an advantage violent ability. Earliest species we are familiar with (fully bipedal) Yes bc reduction of forest and open savannas. Advantage: we could outdistance prey or predator; not outrun. you can use hands to grab or carry things. they could make simple tools. 2) homo habilis (2. 8-1. 8 million years ago) 3) homo erectus (1. 9mya to 140k years ago)
