Shortage of raw materials important to win the war on two fronts. Camp located next to three rivers and coal mine and rr. Ig farben pays the ss for slave labor. Ig farben paid 3 million a day for unskilled labor. Auscwitz 1 -- the original camp from wwi. A structure including the room where prisoners undressed, gas chambers, and then cremated. Not easy to operate because they needed to clean everything out and dump the ashes into the river nearby. Gassing installations were barely visible from the surface. They just had outlets for the gas to escape.
