Wanted to offer a model to the churches back in england. Puritans were displayed wrongly by the public. Good to bring into the new world because they would be spreading the word about. The place is a refuge because god is already looking down upon those people who remain in england. The men in england are vile and corrupt and the environment is hindering the growth of their people back home. God gave us land to reproduce and replenish with our population. Need to go to this land to improve and inhabitat it otherwise it"ll just be there and not be put to convenient use.
