Thoughts: (personal) disturbed, since this rise of nationalism is a trend that"s occurring across the globe (brexit, poland, philippines, hungary, russia, japan), but, and maybe i"m callous for saying this, life moves on. Good decisions rarely arise from panicked minds: more worried about trump"s supporters being empowered by this victory, not so much trump in the govt since there"s always checks and balances (also both parties hate him). Had hillary won, most of the arguments and cries of rage we"re seeing now would"ve been happening on the other side, and we would"ve sneered at them much as the other side is sneering at us now. Then we wait, watch, research some more, predict, research again, plan, mail our representatives, engage with our neighbors and have meaningful conversations with them, and most importantly, learn. 2017 does not continue the trend of voting nationalistic twats into office. Otherwise, the last fifty years of geopolitics goes out the window.
