Advanced methods of birth control (require advanced methods of preparation) The female must go to a clinic or md to be fitted (for a diaphragm) or prescribed. Family doctor may not be the best, but specialized doctors and clinics like planned parenthood. Diaphragm: (must be used with spermicidal jelly because it is not a tight seal around the cervix); inserted to cover the cervix like a cup.
