Today, about 20% of couples do not have kids. Vs. in 1980 when only 10% did not have children (90% of couples did have kids) The human conceptus at the 2-cell stage just looks like a divided egg, but has all of its chromosomes. Pid 1 time gives an 11% chance of sterility 2 times is 23% chance of sterility and 3 times gives a 54% chance of sterility. Ectopic pregnancy is any pregnancy occurring not in the normal place in the uterus (fertilized egg implanting outside the uterus) i. e. oviducts (most common), cervix, ovary, abdomen, and bowel. Used to be 4/1000 live births, but is now over 17/1000 live births. 1/50 children are not genetically related to their dad (paternity test) High risk of death for mother and infant. Different positions usually done to get the baby out. Historically, they used to pull the baby out from the uterus. 100 years ago, 333 women died per 100,000 births.
