PSY 124 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Standard Score, Objective Test, Inter-Rater Reliability
Document Summary
Instructions: manipulating what the learner experiences with the intention to cause learning. What the instructor does: manipulation what goes on in the learner"s mind: experience & knowledge. Learning: experience causes knowledge: assessment: knowledge enables performance, **manipulation and performance are objective, but experience and knowledge are inferred. Instructional objective: specifies an intended change in the learner"s knowledge: what was learned, how it was used, how to interpret the learner"s performance. Some kind of scoring system (ex: if you got 80% on the test, that means you achieved the objective) All students will start school ready to learn. To maximize academic, intellectual, and personal growth in order for each student to prosper in and positively influence a diverse and dynamic world. The student is able to classify objective as global, educational or instructional. Three top-level goals for the design instruction: 1. Foster generative processing: cognitive capacity extraneous processing + essential processing + generative processing.
