Tiefer- “The Kiss”
Kisses have psychological factors (memories, hopes, fears), biological
factors (hormones & genetic influences), social factors (religious
values & other’s opinions)
Kissing= attachment, feels good & can be elaborated into social
situations far removed from its origins
Sucking experience, use of tongue & lips, aroma of body & skin, touch
on the face- every kiss from infancy on reverberates w/feelings of
attachment, pleasure, feeling good & gives kissing its emotional power
