Segmentation: based on kinship - family relationships. Leave, then come back together again to participate in a tribal group. Men in the family go out as a group for vengeance. Households may split up into segments, but when they get back together, they live together. They are our enemies; we marry them". Reach outside of kinship and create a long term relationship with the other group. The brothers and brother-in-laws form a group of vengeance.
