We find range by taking the largest observation and subtracting it by the smallest observation: 88. 40-21. 10, however, we want to make the range a little wider so we have a whole number which makes it more convenient. 1 0 1 1 2 2 3: this is not a good display, now, we try two different ways, repeat each stem two times. Always put the range on the stem-leaf diagram.
