What is a (cid:373)ajor (cid:272)ause of the(cid:373): dead zones are created when there is too much fertilizer, sewage, nitrogen and phosphorous in the water. There is then an excess of algae which sucks up all of the oxygen that aquatic life needs to live! Dead zones are barren and empty when they should be green and leafy, full of life. But the reality is that in these dead zones, anything that needs oxygen to live will die. And any animal caught in the dead zone and cannot free itself will die. Nixon did not know a lot about the environment and was not very interested in the pollution of the air, water etc. Endocrine disrupter potent chemicals, interrupt the normal way the body controls everything (growth and development, hormone levels, reproduction etc. ) there are many endocrine disrupters. Essentially everything man made exposes us to endocrine disrupters and toxic chemicals.
