Sociology is about studying social institutions, education is a social institutions. (it is one of the most important) Nearly every member in society has a an experience with education. Education is the most structured and important form of socialization, second to family. New phenomena: the sudden push to do more, to work harder. Things are getting more intense, the drive is more intense for each newer generation. A society"s education system is an important understanding of the follow: Social structure: why people in particular positions and how they got there.
