Hymenal tissue: fold of mucous membrane separating external genitalia. Bartholin"s and skene"s glands: open into vestibule and secrete lubrication. Triangular shaped area between vaginal opening and anus: pelvic floor. Muscles forming a suspended sling that supports pelvic contents. Attaches to various points on bony pelvis and form functional sphincters for vagina, rectum, and urethra.
