Correct & consistent use of condoms effectively decrease the incidence of sexual transmission of hiv, chlamydia, gonorrhea & trichomoniasis. Length of use, barrier to sexual satisfaction. Forced to have sex important to assess if there is a h/o child or adult sexual abuse. When abuse comes at the hands of a family member it is difficult to get the patient/client to admit abuse.
