Geriatric partial hospital = provides psychiatric care to older adults in the community. Respite care = gives family caregivers a break while allowing older adults to receive needed services. Is isolated and desires companionship: can no longer structure his/her own daily activities. 2: can"t be safely left alone at home, lives with someone who works outside the home or is frequently away. Government-assisted housing = affordable housing or rental assistance for people with low to reduced incomes. Accessory dwelling unit/in-law apartments = second living space in home with independent quarters. Continuing retirement community (ccrc) = housing community with different levels of care. Medicare= the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older, certain younger people with disabilities and people with end-stage renal disease.
