Very common with people in anxiety/ptsd disorders- we use exposure therapy as exposing person to stimulus without having feared response so they learn to not fear. Operant conditioning is used for behavior modification treatments, train people, things, animals, children to engage in certain behaviors, and you get a reward. Substance abuse disorders- paired negative stimuli pic of drug with shocks and they get a negative association with drugs. Obvservational learning- model skills for a patient, doesn"t know proper social skills, doesn"t know how to make proper contact with others, social-anxiety disorder. Coping model: person demonstrating does it in a realistic fashion, not perfect, stumble in words, struggle to start conversation, but they are coping with it, and show that situation in manageable. Demonstration model: model skill in a more perfect manner. Cognitivemodel- you are what you think, if you have these type of schema and attributional styles, you are more at risk of having anxiety disorders.
