Acive controller of our body, interprets all of the informaion that is sent up to it and how to proceed from that point. Consists of nerves of cranial or spinal o o. All the axons that innervate onto the muscles and all the informaion that is brought in on our sensory system. It detects sensaions in your body and transmits informaion (feeling) into your cns. Contains motor neurons that are in the cns and as they exit, they go out to the pns and innervate the voluntary muscle. Brings in what is going to be interpreted. The simplest interacion between the cns and pns. Local: relex going from foot to spinal cord and sending informaion back out to foot to simulate those muscles. Conveys the informaion of pain to the axon that carries the informaion in towards the cns: sensory aferent- informaion to be conveyed toward cns.
