Caesar attempted to invade britain: mission failed. Caesar has to fight vercingetorix: caesar wins. Senate demands that caesar disband the army. Caesar wages a civil war: jan 10, 49. This civil war engulfed the entire republic. Caesar is appointed dictator: becomes consul and resigns dictatorship. Caesar stays in italy and supports cleopatra in a civil war. Trying to consolidate roman provinces: succeeds. Forgives many romans who fought against him.
