Document Summary

Chapter #4 of k-12 classroom teaching: a primer of new professionals. I am used to tutoring algebra, but i recently have started working with a student who has a learning disability. This chapter was really helpful in teaching the fact that curriculum needs to be changed for different people. This week when i was tutoring her i noticed that she was struggling with basic arithmetic. This means i have to change what i planned for next weeks lesson to accommodate for the fact that she is struggling in that area. As for another student i have, she is more advanced, but she struggles with factoring. This means for next week"s lesson, i want to mainly focus on that instead. 1. positive relationships with the children are important to build a firm foundation for mural respect. This chapter focused on creating a environment where every single student will succeed.
