Photosynthesis generates oxygen and organic molecules that are used by the mitochondira as fuel for cellular respiration. Respiration breaks fuel down creating atp and waste like co2 and water which are needed for photosynthesis. Fermentation is a partial degradation of sugars or other organic fuel that occurs without the use of oxygen. Like cellular respiration it breaks down sugars, however, it doesnt use o2. Organic compounds + oxygen > co2 + h2o + energy.
