While we often (perhaps typically) act without any reflection at all, we can sometimes reliably track our reasons. When stakes are high -> can think through something carefully. Get to see the play & it ends up costing total. If money is all i care about, would be irrational to answer the questions differently. Problem 8: imagine that you have decided to see a play where admission is per ticket. As you enter the theater you discover that you have lost a bill. Problem 9: imagine that you have decided to see a play and paid the admission price of for a ticket. As you enter the theater you discover that you have lost the ticket. The seat was not marked & the ticket cannot be recovered. *the problems are exactly the same -> outcome of paying for a ticket is precisely the same.
