Reasons why it may be difficult to detect in children and adolescents: symptoms expressed differently, frequently accompanied by other more visible conduct problems, adolescence a turbulent time in development for most youngsters, problems perceived as adult. Over or misdiagnosis: hard to diagnose and limited research.
