Industrial goods are products used in the production of other products, sometimes called business goods or b2b goods. Some products can be both customer and industrial goods; industrial goods are more likely to be sold through salespeople or on the internet. Installations consist of major capital equipment such as new factories and heavy machinery. Capital items expensive products that last a long time. Accessory equipment consists of capital items that are not quite as long-lasting or expensive as installations. Many companies have used packaging to change and improve their basic product squeezable ketchup bottles, square paint caps with screw tops, plastic bottles for oil, etc. Trademark a brand that has exclusive legal protection for both its brand name and its design: example: mcdonald"s golden arches widely recognized and help represents and the company"s reputation and image. People are often impressed by certain brand names, even though they say there is no difference between brands in a given product category.
