Nannie li is a wet nurse- enjoys special place in such families. She enjoys certain privileges other servants can"t enjoy. Jia-lian"s wet mom- i remember the old times, when the emperor visit us. Nannie li is upset bc respect is eroding- girls are taking adv of bao yu, and taking away sentiments towards li and getting jealous- her superiority is being jelous. Wxf tries to tame her- must be very careful. Got so upset because she lost money in gambling, tries to find victim to vent her anger.
