She was working as a server for about 20 years and she was good at her job (customers loved her, always made a positive impression on guests, reviews were always excellent) Then the casino hired someone who looked at the workers" image and they told the workers that they have to wear make up, curl their hair, etc. She didn"t really wear make up because it made her feel uncomfortable, forced to be feminine, and it interfered with her ability to properly do her job, stay focused, etc. It required the employees to apply foundation, lush, mascara, and lip color at all times. Undue burden of time, effort, cost because while men have to be groomed too, getting a razor and shaving requires a lot less money and time compared to buying and applying make up and hair products. In addition, women had to reapply their makeup to always look fresh.
