To think sociologically - to see how human behavior is shaped by culture which itself is shaped by the needs of groups. Ex: condsider the cultural rule known as the incest taboo. People follow this taboo bc it"s god"s will, but societies that don"t have deities or follow different deities still follow it. Could also be for biologically and/or psychological reasoning.
