Document Summary

Title vii lawsuits and diversity committees are the most effective way of enforcing aa. This is bad because people shouldn"t have to exert the $/time/labor to take their case to court -- usually only white women with class/political privilege are able to do so. Also bad because diversity committees are not too common. For woc, these trainings do nothing at best, but at worst actually backfire. White women have benefitted the most from aa. Solutions that are used by large orgs/corps are usually not the most effective ones. Black women face different stereotypes in the workplace. In pierce"s piece, the one black woman hired at the law firm was the best lawyer they had, yet she was assigned to find a new coffee machine when the one in the office broke. Aa is widely associated with quotas and african americans.
