Envy & embarrassment (15 - 24 months ) Shame, guilt, & pride (30 - 36 months) Emotion regulation = control intensity & duration of emotions. Emotional dissemblance = changing expression of felt emotions by showing no emotion or different emotion. With adult guidance, children develop more positive forms of emotion regulation. Norms that govern the appropriate display of emotions in a culture.
