Greece, where a cow leads him to found the city of thebes (from a prophecy in delphi) He arrives at thebes, must get water for his men (finds a dragon at the well) angers ares in the process: takes the teeth from the dragon and plants it into the ground and men emerge. They kill each other and only 5 survive (become the aristocratic families of thebes: birth from the earth i known as autochthony. Amphion and zethus, sons of zeus (establishing roles/boundaries for the city)
