Product concept: target audience, main benefits/purpose/reason for being. Culture: wants, deeds, desires, aspirations, fears, anxieties, concerns, assumptions and norms, social and demographic trends. Bringing up baby (carrots) (petersen: outside structures: environing economic, social and political conditions and impacts. Inside meanings: what a product means to the people who produce it and use it.
