In the end, you get your body back (body will be with you in heaven) Heresy = teachings that were only part of the story . Denying some part of what christians regarded as the truth but holding onto other parts. Example: jesus christ is fully god/man, but not both . Belief that saved through getting secret knowledge. Marcion comes up with an answer that christians still speculate. 1 evil god (jew"s god yahweh creator of all material things) 1 good god (christian"s god wants to save us from this horrible material world matter than evil god created) These ancient societies were oral cultures whereas today is more literary culture . Sometimes oral cultures are more accurate (and revealing) due to tonality. Gospels written (mark, matthew - written for sufferers, luke - written for the rich, then john - unique)
