The girl"s powerpoint about her sexual encounters became a viral sensation: even found its way to the website jezebel. She was painted as someone that was out to ruin people"s lives. Can mean everything and nothing at the same time. General and non-specific about what occurred; covers a wide range of behaviours. Everyone can participate without worrying that everyone knows what they"re doing. England et al. (2007) found that different hook-ups had different levels of sexual behaviours: 31% - kissing and non-genital touching, 16% - hand-stimulating genitals, 15% - oral sex, 38% - sexual intercourse. The default is expected to be penile-vaginal based on the research paper. These behaviours were found after collapsing the different types of hooking up (e. g. first time vs tenth time) Research into hook-up behaviours is generally heteronormative due to the lack of insight and access to data in lgbtqia communities.
