Lexicalization (part of the formulation stage) - process of adding words, phrases, or word patterns to a language. Lemma - the (cid:824)pre-phonological form(cid:825) of a word / syntactic & semantic features (info) of the word. Basically a concept of a word without a phonological form (intermediate level b/w the concept and phonological form) Lexeme - specified after a lemma is selected / the phonological form of a word. If a lemma is selected but not the lexeme, then you can"t retrieve the word & get it out of your mouth even tho you know what the word is. Fay and cutler (1977) : two types of word substitution errors - semantic (toes -> fingers) & form (phonological; equivalent -> equivocal) Stroop effect: interference of input perception on language perception interferes you. Tot - a phenomenon of failing to retrieve a word from memory.
