Some fruits are not grapes, does not mean some grapes are not fruits. We"re not really good at applying these rules. Classic papers investigating how we deal with particular types of logical rules. See 4 diff. cards, letters on one side, numbers on the other. If a card has a vowel, then the other side is an even number. Which of these cards do you flip over to make sure this is true. Rule doesn"t have anything to do with what"s on the other side when there"s an even number. We check 7 to make sure that there are no vowels behind odd numbers. Checks the second part of the rule. Exact same task but gives a rule that has more semantic meaning.
