Social hierarchies: hierarchies are based on any way that people divide themselves into groups or categories, and members of one group or category are accorded more status, opportunities, power, or authority than others. This is where our country applies inequality. We attached value to specific groups and distribute resources differently by this groups. Virtually all known human societies have distributed goods and opportunities unequally. Each of us have either a dominant or subordinate position in each of these forms of privilege/ oppression.
