Lgbtq+ community often not born to people who are in the community as opposed to african. Americans are often born into a black family, and jews are often born into a jewish family, Lgbtq+ communities often do not have that natural support system. Bell curve for sense of humor: at birth and death we have similar senses of humor. 5-7 potty humor (success of captain underpants) this revival of potty humor comes back at around 85-87. 11-14 sexual humor and sarcasm high school restriction on humor to protect ego. 20"s political humor peak: subsuming our natural sense of humor. Males and females (60+) enjoy humor that is affiliative (social bonding), sex, physical, reverse ageism, menopause. High t brain (testosterone intensive) crude, boundary pushing, profanity, sexual, physical, jokes. High e brain (estrogen intensive) social constructs, storytelling, situational/real life, sex. 12-15% of women in comedy in the 80"s.
