Immigration: people from all over with different races come to america and abandon their old ways and become american . Immigrants come and melt right in (or do they?: how can people celebrate america as the land of immigration while still restricting immigration? (tancredo, there is nothing wrong with immigration as long as the immigrants become. American (forget their old ways and embrace american ways: our grandparents migrated the right way by doing this ^ according to tancredo. White migration; mostly english, dutch, some german, etc. Third wave immigration: now; largest wave, 14. 5 million people, 1900 -1924: eastern europe, greece, poland, etc, economic hardships so immigrants came to america. Industrial revolution (immigrant workers; work is the central of life: chain migration: one person would come and then write their families, friends, etc telling them to come and make a living. Immigrants goal was to move back therefore they did not bother to learn american culture, language, etc.
