Social structure: system of socioeconomic stratification (class structure) or other patterned relations between large social groups. Looking-glass self: children gain an impression of how people perceive them as the children interact with them (children see themselves as interact with people as if looking in a mirror) Charles horton cooley: individuals use perceptions that others have to develop judgments/feelings about self. Taking the role of another: what children do when they play that helps them acquire an understanding of their self.
